Assassin’s Creed Shadows
(Context)
Vantage partnered with Ubisoft and Monks to create a cutting edge augmented reality journey inspired by Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This experience takes fans into the heart of the Sengoku era, a war-torn chapter of Japanese history filled with drama and intrigue.
Walk through castles and landscapes drawn from the game, watch Naoe, the swift shinobi, vault between rooftops and trees, or stand before Yasuke, the powerful samurai, as he demonstrates his combat skill.
Working closely with Ubisoft’s creative leads and the Monks team, Vantage built every scene in Adobe Aero, pushing the tool beyond its limits to capture the scale and atmosphere of Assassin’s Creed, all within a mobile experience.
Starting from official game models, our designers and 3D artists reshaped the epic world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows into a lightweight AR adventure that runs seamlessly on a phone with no large downloads required.
Despite a tight 50MB data cap, the worlds feel rich and alive: cherry blossoms shifting in the wind, torches glowing and crackling, snowflakes falling gently from the sky. Naoe and Yasuke move with fluid, lifelike animation, rendered in their iconic hoods and armor.
The result is an AR experience that stays true to the artistry of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, crafted by Vantage in collaboration with Ubisoft and Monks.
